Robert Ellison
Robert Ellison is a colourist oil painter, the son of an artist and also married to one. His objective is to show the essence of what he sees in a broadly representational manner, using bold and often contrasting marks, colours and textures. He draws inspiration for much of his work from the windswept and timeless scenery of Horn Head in North Donegal.
Robert has been exhibiting regularly over many years in various venues including the Royal Ulster Academy. His work has attracted a number of prizes, is held in private, corporate and government collections and in 2005 was included in the first public art exhibition ever held in the British Embassy in Dublin.
